After school this week the French Department organized a small 'goûter' by way of thanks, to our fantastic volunteers, who give - without condition - their time and knowledge for our French language learning. Over some small croissants (of course!) and drinks, the Passport Mums were presented with a certificate and shown the video, which you can also see below. Merci beaucoup Passport Mums.....See you next year!!?? Following a hardworking year in French, we took a little time out to say a big Thank You or Merci, to our ever supportive French Passport Mums. This video was made by the children around school, who have benefitted from this voluntary and committed resource at various times during the year. Merci!! Year 5 and 6, in the next few weeks, you will be demonstrating your 21st century skills by putting together your very own interactive presentation on one aspect of the French culture. Please find below the guidelines and topics linked to your year groups . All completed presentations will be uploaded here so watch this space ...
As always 3B show how good they are at teamwork. With their enthusiasm and energy - even at the end of a long, hot day at school - 3B impressed in their French lessons this week. Check out these images of how good these students are at their 21st Century collaboration skills! Well done 3B!
Ms Bannister, Ms Scribner and myself are very excited to take you on French musical journey this term. On Thursday, May 26th at 8am You will perform a traditional French Canadian folk song entitled "Ah! Si Mon Moine Voulait Danser!". In order to prepare for it, Week beginning 15th May and Week beginning 22th May, you will work with me in your French lessons to master the lyrics and pronunciation and with you Music Teachers to master the musical side of it. You can find below some support videos to practice pronunciation and melody at home. We are very looking forward to embark on this musical adventure with you. The French and Music teams. |
